The historic house on County Street is a National Historic Landmark that takes over an entire city block with its beautifully constructed gardens. The stunning gardens attract visitors from all over, but their Appraisal Day turns the attention toward their guests and their prized possessions.

The Appraisers

From family heirlooms to paintings to finds on Facebook Marketplace, guests are encouraged to discover their items’ true worth thanks to the help of three appraisers who will be on-site, according to the Museum’s press release. Frank McNamee has over 40 years of experience in the antiques and appraisal business. Alfred J. Walker is a retired art dealer, connoisseur, and collector who has owned and operated the Alfred J. Walker Fine Arts in Boston for 25 years, and Paula Deane is a veteran antique and jewelry dealer with over 40 years of experience in the business.

Appraisal Day Information

Appraisal Day will take place on July 16th from 9 am to 12 pm. Appraisals will be done on a first-come, first-served basis. The appraisal fee is $10 per item or $25 for three items and is payable at the door. Spectators are welcomed at no charge.
