SYRACUSE, N. Y. – In the June 11, 1910 edition of The Post-Standard, the American Foursquare style house at 116 Ruskin Avenue in the Strathmore neighborhood of Syracuse was introduced to readers.
“Recently completed” by owner Walter Ridings, president of the Porter-Cable Machine Company, the house was described as “one of the finest on the Onondaga Highlands, ” and “modern in every respect. ”
