Tulsan Jeri Cooper uses her deaf-blindness as a superpower. ‘Creating memories’: Homeowners within North Maple Ridge go all-out for Halloween
One day, as I was on a walk through North Maple Ridge, my jaw dropped when I saw all of the amazing Halloween decorations these homeowners put up . I knew I wanted to do a story about these houses for World of Homes, but I had no idea how to get in touch with the owners, so I wrote several letters and dropped them in their mailboxes. Community parents with kids at the Mayo Demonstration School made it their mission to plant a variety of plants and flowers across the school , in order to provide their kids and their classmates with a more beautiful place to learn. Creating an abundant natural environment at school is one of the best ways to teach children to care for nature, the parents said.
